Your Handicap

Example 1 - Jody Martin – Handicap 5

Actual number of shots (92) played does not always equal your score for handicap purposes (84).

In the below example Jody has a 5 handicap and therefore can have a net "double bogey / two over" on the card (in red). So if Jody scores more than 2 over on a hole where he does not get a stroke, he must adjust it to 2 over for handicap purposes. Jody may have a 3 over par on holes he strokes on. Golf is a game of honour. Scores will always be based on trust and the golfer playing by the rules.

Time limit on entering scores - From GolfRSA

A score should be returned on the same day as the round was played but no later than 24 hours after completion of a round. The period of 24 hours is taken from 23:00 on the day of play to 23:00 the following day. Scores not returned during this period will result in a penalty score being entered on the player’s behalf. Such scores are not to be deleted or modified by the player’s home club, unless exceptional circumstances warrant such action. A player is obliged to enter a score on the system before another round is played.

You do not need the HNA handicap card anymore as you can now just use the HNA Handicaps App on your phone.

All you actually need is the HNA Handicaps app on your phone and your HNA Player ID. You can open your round on the HNA Handicaps app when you arrive at the course. At the end of the round you enter your score on the app and submit your scores. There is also a digital image of your card on the app.
